Yes you can search for members, chat, send flirt signals and even email other members but the website is a bit weak on customer support. There have also been a lot consumer complaints, negative feedback and reviews on this aspect and also on the quality of members at Date.ca.

The quality of people that make up its members will affect the possibility of hooking up with real friends, finding love, romance or even securing a lifemate. I decided to join Date Canadian because I was looking for a friend more than a romantic dating partner. I have been divorced for 7 years and, almost immediately after my divorce, I decided that I am not interested in another marriage, or even a boyfriend. Yet wanted to meet a man who would be a friend. I joined Date Canadian because, aside from the fact that I wanted a dating site that concentrated on Canadians, I could access all of the matchmaking information for free, send and receive emails for free and view photographs and review them for free. A lot of the men have blogs and reading their own thoughts, feedback, reviews and consumer complaints gave me a good picture of what each man was really like. The part that suited me the most was the opportunity to indicate that I was interested in finding a friend or correspondent, right at the beginning, rather than someone to get involved in a long-term relationship. So I felt safe. In the end, to no one’s great surprise, I met a man who interested me way more than “friendship.” We share a complaint here and there, of course, but in general, we’re very compatible and enjoy each other’s company. We are, to my complete surprise, even thinking of making it permanent.
