FriendFinder allows consumers to locate individuals for purposes of matchmaking, friendship, dating or for any type of relationship that they choose. FriendFinder's goal is to enable singles to have fun while they're searching for their ultimate relationship and life partner. Potential members will fill out a profile that offers a review of their background, interests, hobbies and other information. In addition, FriendFinder searchers note whether they're looking for a dating connection, friendship, marriage partner or someone with whom they can develop a general relationship. There are several membership packages at FriendFinder. The standard membership is free and allows members to chat and send instant messages, while higher levels come at a cost with membership fees. Each member browses through FriendFinder's worldwide database of profiles and reviews possible matches. Members also have access to the company's interactive magazine which offers options for sending messages, asking advice questions, posting articles, giving feedback or even submitting poetry. The premium membership is a cost-effective option that lets members search using a "priority" form, offers the top list of members search results, allows viewing of photos and videos, offers ICQ, YIM, AIM & MSN ID's of network members and allows for sending and receiving email messages. The FriendFinder feedback form provides a mechanism for members to submit their feedback and any consumer complaints to allow FriendFinder to improve their services.

| I'd never found myself without a date when I wanted to go out until I moved across the country. If anything, my main complaint used to be that I had too many full nights. But when I relocated due to my job, I discovered that it wasn't as easy to make friends in a new city as it had been when I was living in a city where I knew, it seemed, almost everyone. At first I didn't mind some quiet time but after awhile, doing jigsaw puzzles at home lost its allure and I wanted to make some new friends and, hopefully, find something else. I joined FriendFinder because a friend back in Baltimore told me about it and had a good experience when she joined. I appreciated the FriendFinder's direct approach. Right from the beginning, I noted what I wanted -- to find a friend, someone to date, someone to marry, a relationship.....I wanted to check all four, but in the end I just checked "dating." And within a very short period of time, I met a guy that is really a four-in-one. Which is what I wanted all along. |
