| I've been dating for several years but the Janis Spindel system is probably the most unique dating system that I've tried. I don't have a complaint, per se, but the whole procedure seemed awkward and uncomfortable and I will want to think carefully before I go back. The program is aimed specifically at "high-end" singles with large salaries and beautiful bodies. I was accepted as a member but had to go through a series of video profiles and background checks for approval in order to be accepted. We were told that Janis makes the final decision about each membership because it's such an exclusive program (and rather expensive) which just added to the stress. On the other side of the coin however, I understand that there's a new Janis Spindel online dating platform now that's free and allows singles to search independently for people who fit their profile. Members can contact prospective matches with no payment necessary. They say that these free matches are not generally found on other dating sites so I may try that option too, even though I'm an "approved member" of the exclusive site. |

| As a woman, I have never had a more negative, insulting and demeaning experience in my dating life as I had with Janis Spindel. She offered a meet-and-greet with no more than 5 women for a total of 30 minutes. It was written that we would get a chance to talk about what we were looking for in a man. I showed up to sit with 10 women and Janis casually announcing she might not talk to everyone since it depends on the guys she is looking for women for. She proceeded to ask (out loud in a hotel lobby) who has had which piercings, tattoos and plastic surgery. She spent most of the time trashing certain men who she interviews. She had a foul mouth, a nasty attitude and I would bet that every single woman left there feeling ripped off and worse about themselves. It was horrible experience. Needless to say, she lost my paperwork and wouldn't make good on the money I paid. Really...run far, far away from this alleged dating service. It's a one-way street for the guys..the women are pawns in her little game. |

| I am a successful divorced woman in her 30's. I am very career-minded and therefore very busy. It makes it difficult to meet men. I'm intelligent, good-looking, and fun. Janis asked me to come meet her. I told her I dont need to pay to get set up on dates . Not to sound arrogant, but I'm a catch. I know I am. She asked me to trade. I would offer her $500 of my services. She took advantage of my services and the deal was that she would not charge me to meet her one on one. When I got to the address she provided, I was met by a sleep old lady in sweatpants and dirty socks in the common room of her apartment building! I patiently and politely sat with her. She told me that I was amazing and she would have no problem setting me up. I didn't want to judge by her lack of professionalism but after a month of no introductions and constant run-arounds, I asked her for reimbursement for my services. She refused. This woman is a sham and a thief and should be ashamed of herself. She claims 1000 marriages but offers no testimonials! Stay away. I give her 0 stars but 1 star if I must. |

I recently attended a Dating Bootcamp/Night Out with Janis Spindel. I was not sure what to expect but it sounded like it could be a lot of fun. Well good news...for once my small investment in my dating life did work out. We met at a small venue where I met six other women who also came to see what we could learn about dating and how to do it better in our quest for Mr. Right. First let me say it was a great group of women and very informative. Janis went around the table one by one learning about us and what type of men we have dated in the past and why we think it did not work out. She was able to hone in on some of our individual mistakes and gave us what I felt was true and helpful insight to some of our dating patterns.
Next we learned some new techniques for meeting men when we are out. If you are like me, a tad shy and always waiting for a man to approach you because that is how we have always been taught it happens then this next step is a real eye opener. Through some strong examples Janis shared with us about what men really want we embraced the fact that we were allowed to just say "Hello" first. I guess I always knew I could but was just to afraid to step out of what I had always believed was the proper way to meet a man. After some more Q&A she took all of us out to a place to apply some of what we had learned. I have to say this was a very liberating experience and with her and her team there to support us I felt fearless for the first time.
Needless to say I struck up conversations quite easily with a few wonderful gentlemen and while I did not meet a match that night I felt confident and excited at trying this again on my own soon. Janis is blunt and says what she thinks. As I listened to her speak I realized it did not matter how she delivered what she was saying, instead I just stayed open and I really connected with her passionate advice to help me be more productive in finding my Mr. Right. All in all I felt I got my monies worth, made some new friends and walked away with some solid advice and more confidence. I look forward to attending another event soon. |
