They say that, if it’s free, you can’t complain, but I do have a complaint about Metrodate and I’ve heard that others have the same sorts of complaints. The site is wonderful, the features are terrific and there’s almost everything there that you would want except...people. Considering that I live in a pretty well-populated area of the country, I would have thought that there would be a large number of profiles for my area, but there really weren’t. I rarely travel so finding someone who lives close to the DC area is the only way that I can date. When I discussed this with the Metrodate people they protested that, at age 65, I shouldn’t expect the kind of numbers of people that I’d find if I was in my 20s or 30s, but I do feel that a company of their size should have a larger database of older members in this area. Having said that, I have met some interesting women through Metrodate and dated one woman for a few months, so my membership hasn’t been a total disappointment. And, of course, it’s free, so I didn’t lose anything by joining.

I just joined the site.  It is very user friendly and as method to it’s madness.  You can eliminate guys your not interested in and don’t have to see the same ol, same of till you want to barf.  POF .  I also find that unlike POF this site has features that POF  should adapt and not all the -- with the free and then the upgrade.  I have been on POF since 2005.  I am not fat or unattractive and am polite and active and honest.  I must say I am also selective.  I am looking for a serious potential marriage partner (I am female, looking for a male).  What blows my mind about this site are the many young men that hit on me.  I don’t know if this is a scam or what it is as there are many good looking younger women on the site and I am not a sugar momma.  I find very few men in my age bracket and even less that seem interested in a serious potential mate.  All in all I opted for the USA not just a city and still very low qualified guys that fit my criteria.  Sad as the site has potential just not enough men on it for my category.
