Table for Six
A Premier Dating Service in California

Table for Six offers reguler one on one dating and a unique program in which social introductions occur over friendly local dinner engagements. Table for Six dating maintains centers throughout California including Los Angeles, Irvine, San Francisco, Sacramento, Mountain View, San Jose and Walnut Creek. Members sign up with Table for Six after a face-to-face meeting with a staff member. After sign-up, members meet again with a T46 representative and work together to develop a profile that expresses their backgrounds, professional lives, personalities, interests and core life values and goals. This personality profile allows Table for Six professional matchmakers to review each individual’s needs and expectations and arrange appropriate dinner dating encounters that take these issues into account. Table for Six matchmaking staff reviews the profiles so that members circulate and meet new individuals at each dinner engagement. The program is set up so that the staff members screen T46 members to ensure that members who have particular professional or educational expectations of their potential partners will meet only those individuals at the Table for Six Dating encounters. Table for Six reviews complaints and feedback which, they believe, allows them to make changes where needed. This builds the program further. The website maintains both a Table for Six Reviews page and a Table for Six Complaints page so that potential members can obtain a full perspective of the program before signing up for Table for Six matchmaking.

Table for Six Complaints & Reviews

At age 58 I had pretty much decided that my dating days were over. I was widowed three years ago and, while not wealthy, have a steady income from my husband’s pension plan and don’t really need to have someone support me. I was looking forward to years of babysitting my grandchildren and enjoying my hobbies and classes. My daughter happened to read some Table for Six reviews and suggested that I try the program, not necessarily as a way to meet anyone for marriage but simply as an opportunity to meet new friends. I had no complaint with that plan so I signed up for the San Francisco branch of Table for Six. I began to attend dinners almost weekly and met a variety of lovely individuals with whom I became quite friendly. One man in particular stood out and we found ourselves requesting to be placed together at our dinners. We always seemed to have plenty to talk about and he was a true gentleman. To make a long story short we began to date and, sure enough, it turned serious. I’m having a wonderful time with my new relationship -- something that I never expected at this point in my life, but welcome all the same.

In my family, even after two generations in America, parents expect to select their children’s mates. I’m a bit too Americanized for that but with my graduate studies, time just got away from me and I never objected or did much about it. I dated all through university but I was never serious and neither were the girls. When I began to work my parents decided that the time had come to match me up. I, however, wasn’t having any of it and went out looking for a dating program just to get something going on my own. I saw a brochure for Table for Six, read their reviews and didn’t find any serious complaints about the program so I joined. My parents weren’t very happy and they continued to look for a nice Korean girl for me at the same time. Well, to make a long story short, at one of my first dinners, I met a lovely Asian girl and we made plans to go out. A few nights later, my parents called and asked me to come over to “meet someone.” You guessed it....it was the same girl. Just goes to show you that all the technology in the world basically comes down to the same thing as the old traditions -- find the right match and go for it.

California can seem like a lonely place for newcomers. It certainly did to me when I moved here two years ago from Wichita. I actually moved because I thought that dating would be easier in an area with a larger population, but it turned out to be much harder. The pace of life is faster and everyone seems to be involved in their own little world. In Wichita family and friends would, at least, try to set me up with dates, but that doesn’t happen here, even though I do have some cousins in the area. Everyone seems to think that they’re infringing on your territory if they set you up. A friend sent me some Table for Six reviews and I joined. Everything moved smoothly. I developed a good relationship with Mandy who was helping me and she gave me some good advice and helped me create a profile that reflected my interests and background. Once I started to meet the people I saw how much more secure I felt than going on a simple blind date -- everyone had been screened and knowing this, I felt that I could be much more open at the dinners and more trusting than I would normally be otherwise. The dinners themselves are very enjoyable and I’m a big fan of the system.

After a Table for Six dinner that included two people who were way too old for the rest of us, I submitted a complaint to the Table for Six complaints team. Much to my astonishment, I heard back from a staff member immediately who told me that they were investigating why that had happened. (Truthfully, I don’t think that it was so comfortable for the two older people either). And again, to my complete surprise, I received another phone call appraising me of the steps that T46 was going to take to ensure that future dinners would include only more compatible individuals. Evidently, it was a mistake made by a new staffer. Anyway, I was really impressed with the service and the attention to detail. Sure enough, subsequent dinners have not had any such issue and I continued to enjoy my dinners with T46 until I met my girlfriend. We both dropped our membership after that.
